Crieff’s Strathearn Campus Buzzes with Energy for Relay Wild Triathlon 2025

Crieff recently became a hub of vibrant sporting activity as Strathearn Campus played host to the annual Relay Wild Triathlon on Sunday, September 21, 2025. The event drew a significant crowd of participants and spectators alike, all keen to embrace the spirit of friendly competition and community engagement in the picturesque Perthshire setting.
Organised by the dedicated team at Perth Triathlon Club, this year’s Relay Wild Triathlon was meticulously planned to accommodate 50 teams, each comprising four individuals. With a cap of 200 participants, the event fostered a close-knit yet energetic atmosphere, encouraging local athletes and enthusiasts to push their limits across three challenging disciplines.
The relay format saw each team member tackle a segment of the triathlon before passing the baton to their teammate. The individual courses included a 160-meter swim in the campus pool, followed by a demanding 10-kilometer cycle on the local roads surrounding Crieff, and concluded with an invigorating 800-meter run around the perimeter of Strathearn Campus. This sequential challenge highlighted teamwork and individual endurance, creating a thrilling spectacle for onlookers.
Adding to the family-friendly appeal of the day, a complimentary kids’ fun run took place prior to the main triathlon. Children were encouraged to unleash their creativity and dress up as their favourite wild animals, transforming the campus grounds into a colourful parade of imaginative creatures. This delightful event, kicking off at 11am, set a joyous tone for the day, with the main triathlon race commencing promptly at noon.
The competition was fierce across all categories, with athletes showcasing impressive determination and skill. Following the completion of the races, prizes were proudly presented to the overall winners in each of the three competitive divisions, celebrating their achievements and hard work. The event not only promoted physical activity but also reinforced the strong sense of community and local pride within Crieff and the wider Perth and Kinross area.
